About Our School

St Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Academy is a Roman Catholic, coeducational secondary school for 11–16 year olds, part of the St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust, with a strong emphasis on faith, aspiration and pastoral care. Guided by the motto “In Faith We Grow,” the school promotes high expectations for learning and behaviour within a close-knit, values-led community. In its most recent Ofsted inspection on 3 December 2024, the academy was judged Good in all areas, reflecting improvements in the quality of education, behaviour, personal development and leadership. Prospective staff can expect to join a growing, forward-looking school of around 550–600 pupils and some 70 colleagues, with a focus on professional development, inclusive practice and partnership with families and the wider Catholic community.

Learning Support Assistant

This This small friendly and inclusive Catholic Academy is seeking to appoint to the role of Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant.  You will join a dedicated, hardworking and friendly team, who strive to provide the very best for our students. Previous experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage, a genuine interest in working amongst young people is essential. Experience of being involved in the teaching and support of phonics would be an advantage.
