About Our School
The Cathedral School of St Mary is a small Catholic primary school adjoining Plymouth Cathedral, serving children aged 4 to 11 within a close-knit, family-style community. As part of the Plymouth CAST trust, it is rooted in Gospel values such as humility, compassion, kindness, justice, forgiveness, integrity, peace and courage, which shape both its curriculum and daily life. The school’s most recent Ofsted inspection in June 2025 rated it Good, reflecting its strong pastoral care, positive behaviour, and commitment to high expectations for all pupils. Staff joining the school can expect a collaborative, values-driven environment with close links to the cathedral and wider parish, and a clear emphasis on nurturing both the spiritual and academic development of every child.
