St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy
About Our School
St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy is a small Roman Catholic primary serving children aged 3–11 within the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust, with a warm, close‑knit community feel and a strong emphasis on gospel values and nurturing the whole child. The school was judged Outstanding at its last full Ofsted inspection in July 2018, with particular praise for leadership and management, and a subsequent short inspection in June 2025 confirmed that this high standard had been maintained. As a faith school it places Catholic life, worship and moral development at the heart of the curriculum, while achieving solid academic outcomes and offering supportive pastoral care. Prospective staff can expect to work in a collaborative environment under an experienced headteacher, with opportunities to contribute to a broad curriculum and to the wider spiritual and community life of the school.
