About Our School

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Upminster is a voluntary aided Roman Catholic school that aims to provide a caring, faith-centred community where Gospel values underpin pupils’ academic and personal development. The school promotes high expectations for behaviour and learning, encouraging children to grow in confidence, respect and responsibility while developing their gifts and talents. In its most recent full Ofsted inspection in November 2022 it was judged Good overall, with particular strengths noted in pupils’ behaviour, attitudes, and personal development. As a reasonably large, mixed primary with an active parish connection and supportive parent body, it offers prospective staff a collegial environment, a clear Catholic ethos, and opportunities to contribute to both the spiritual and educational life of the community.
