About Our School
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Primary School – a Catholic Voluntary Academy is a Roman Catholic primary and nursery school for children aged 3 to 11, rooted in the mission statement “Living, loving, learning – Christ at the centre.” The community emphasises walking with Jesus to promote the Catholic faith, loving and caring for all, and using each child’s gifts and talents in the service of others, in close partnership with families, parishes and the wider community. The school is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust and was judged Good overall in its most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2024, with particular strengths noted in pupils’ behaviour, personal development, and a calm, nurturing learning environment. Prospective staff can expect to join a supportive, faith-driven team with an ambitious, well-structured curriculum and a strong focus on reading, mathematics and pupils’ holistic growth.
