We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the SENDCO, teachers and senior staff to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, whilst also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will provide assistance to pupils so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement. You will be required to work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. Previous relevant experience is desirable, but is not essential. You will be required for 32½ hours each week, term time only Monday to Friday. This person will form part of a team of catering staff and will be expected to deputise for the Canteen Supervisor in potential times of absence. Ideally suited to this role would be someone with excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic outlook. The appointed person will assist in providing high quality, healthy food to our customers, primarily students but also staff, in accordance with strict time deadlines. Duties include operation of a Cashless Catering system and stock control. Duties also include canteen security and, on occasion, assisting with special events outside of usual working hours.
