The Governors of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and innovative Head Teacher. Situated near the seafront in Dovercourt, St Joseph’s, which is part of The Rosary Trust, is a caring and friendly school where our Catholic Ethos is central to all that we do. It is a small school with great expectations and has been confirmed as a Good school by Ofsted. Our new Head Teacher will work with governors to shape the strategic direction of the school to continue its very positive journey. The Headteacher will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management and will lead a team which strives together in the best interests of all our children in line with our mission statement:

- Be a practicing Catholic, with a clear vision and strong commitment to Catholic education who will cherish and support the Catholic ethos of our school;
- Be passionate about promoting a clear child-centred vision
- Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire, with a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents, the parish and wider community.
- Maintain a curriculum that inspires our children to achieve the best that they can through the promotion of high -quality teaching and learning;
- Be passionately committed to safeguarding and the welfare and wellbeing of children and staff.
